AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
The project aims to create a mobile app that facilitates the shopping experience for people in search of
fashion styling advice, powered by machine learning. The app targets women living in the United Kingdom
from 18 to 55 years of age who are Android or Apple mobile phone owners. The project takes place over a
four-month period. Progress and development are measured at the end of each iteration via guerrilla or
usability testing. Six iteration cycles are completed with a minimum of one testing session to conclude each
cycle.

RESEARCH
The research includes a market analysis, the drafting of personas, user’s profile, and a user journey. It also
comprises business and user assumptions research.
PROJECT CYCLE
Four recurring stages took place during each sprint. Firstly, the sprint planning, at the beginning of each
cycle, was established according to the product backlog and user stories.
The project owner recorded leading
product backlogs alongside valuable users stories from the previous testing sessions - or assumptions in
the first sprint. During the iteration, actions, bugs, testing procedure and progress were filled in regularly
until the end of the sprint. In each phase, The MVP was amended to the previous research and findings, and
later, tested with participants. The review at the end of the sprint highlighted improvements that were
initially thought to be beneficial but occasionally, ideas and features obtained from the testing superseded
these earlier findings and were used instead. At the end of the fortnight period, the retrospective summarised the actions to take forward for the next iteration.
A total of six sprints were achieved for this project.
